  2. while on my last placement I had the opportunity to see 2 students who each day used the standing devices. My first impression was that they were in a way cruel with all of the straps and bracing. However it was great for them to be upright instead of in their chairs. They did not spend a lot of time, maybe 20 minutes but that was enough to exhaust them.

  3. Since my last placement, I feel much more comfortable about standers, walkers and bikes. They're not so complicated after all, but of course the kids have to be positioned accurately in/on them and strapped in securely.

  4. For some of these devices you need to be trained by an physical or occupational therapist before you are allowed to use them.
